The Cranmer Bust

This 'bust' was displayed in the Cranmer Arms, Main Street, Aslockton. On the reverse of the bust is this note: 'The bust in frame came from the old Manor House where Archbishop Cranmer was born and was in the possession of William Freeman until 1800, when it came to William Wilson, wheelwright of Aslockton, and afterwards to his daughter Mary Smith wife of Richard Smith, shoemaker of Aslockton, and afterwards to his daughte Mary Cooper.'
