Inquest - Sarah Wiliams
An inquest has been held by Mr. W. Wallis, deputy district coroner, at the Cranmer's Arms, Aslockton upon the body of an illegitimate female child, to which Sarah Williams, unmarried, the daughter of a midwife in that village, had given birth the previous day. The inquest commenced at 4 o'clock, and was not over until eight o'clock. The jury returned an open verdict "That the cause of death, or whether it had been born alive, was unknown'
