The members of the Aslockton Protection Lodge held their annual Club-Feast on Tuesday June 18th. At eleven o'clock, headed by Ratfdcliffe band, they went to Whatton Church, where a sermon was preached by the Vicar. Afterwards, the members sate down to a very excellent dinner, provided by Host Mee. In the village, there was a good attendance of roundabouts, swing-boats, cocanit alleys &c., and in the evening the band paraded the streets and played in front of Mr. Paylings residence. The weather was very fine. |
