Quarrel over Dominoes |
Jospeh Whitehead, a chimney sweep, of Aslockton, was chagred with assaulting William Pritchitt, of Aslockton, on the 20th September. Complainant said that he was in the Cranmer Arms and began to play dominoes with the defendant, and over the games there was a dispute, the outcome of which was that deendant struck him on the side of the head with his fist. By defendant: Witness did not commence the quarrel. He gave up the game because he thought that the game would end in cheating and there would be a row. Defendant denied striking the complainant, stating that he simply shoved him. The magistrates dismissed the case. |
