|Odd Fellows Anniversary|
On Tuesday night the members of the "Protection Lodge", No. 222 of the Imperial Order, celebrated their anniversary at Mr. T Draper's, the Cranmer's Arms Inn, Aslockton.
After the initiation of new members and the usual routine of business had been gone through, the members prceeded to Whatton Church, where an appropriate sermon was preached by the Rev. B Maltby.
The members returned to a spacous booth erected for the occasion and, with their friends, partook of an excellent and substantial dinner, which reflected great credit on the worthy host and hostess.
Mr. W.F. Payling was called upno to take the chair, the duties of which he discharged with his usual ability. The toasts were of the most loyal and patriotic discription and were heartily respsonded to.
In the evening the members went in procession, and called upno several of their honorary members, by whom they were treated very liberally with Sir John Barleycorn, and dancing was resorted for finishing up, the Bottesford Band being in attendance.
