|The New Church|
A service was held in the Mission-room on Wednesday afternoon, preparatory to the laying of the memorial stone of the new Chruch, in course of erection by Mrs. D Hall, of Whatton Manor.
The Rev. F. Hall, of Manby Rectory, Lincolnshire, preached to a crowed congregation.
Mrs. Hall subsequnetly laid the moemorial stone, the Revs. J. Standish, E.A. Auchinleck, and J. Berry being amonst the company present.
The inhabitants of Aslockton presented Mrs. Hall with a silver trowel for use at the coeremony.
